AUSTELL, GA — Six Flags is facing increasing financial challenges as a recent fatal accident at its Georgia theme park and lawsuits involving a California roller coaster raise safety concerns.

The death earlier this month at Six Flags Over Georgia, along with lawsuits alleging injuries on a roller coaster in California, comes as the company works to improve its financial performance.

Six Flags is also dealing with economic pressures, including inflation affecting consumer spending and higher interest rates increasing borrowing costs.

Analysts at Guggenheim Securities say 2027 will be a critical year for the company’s management as it works to reverse its current business trajectory.

Meanwhile, Six Flags has been investing in new rides and park improvements in an effort to attract more visitors.
