GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A search is on for a driver accused of ramming into a police patrol vehicle early Tuesday morning in metro Atlanta.
Gwinnett County Police say a beige Kia Sorrento rammed a patrol car with two officers inside on Stone Drive and Rockbridge Road in Gwinnett County just after 9 a.m.
According to a police spokesman, it was “aggressive in nature,” bumping the cruiser up onto a curb.
After the incident, the officers got out of the car and opened fire, sending four bullets towards the SUV as the driver sped off.
The officers were unharmed, officials said.
It is unclear whether the driver of the Kia or the vehicle was hit by bullets.
Police are using Flock cameras to try to track down the suspect.
