ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Agriculture is warning consumers about certain roast beef sandwiches sold at Kroger stores across Georgia that may contain jalapeños potentially contaminated with Salmonella.

The alert involves Private Selection Spicy Roast Beef Sandwiches distributed by Taylor Fresh Foods. The sandwiches contain fresh jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors in Sinaloa, Mexico, that are part of an ongoing recall.

The affected sandwiches are 8.53-ounce packages with UPC 011110678171 and “Best If Used By” dates ranging from Aug. 7, 2026, through Aug. 12, 2026.

The Georgia Department of Agriculture is advising anyone who purchased an affected sandwich not to eat it and to throw it away.

Anyone who has frozen recalled jalapeños or does not know the supplier is advised to throw them away.
