COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County residents will have two more opportunities to voice their concerns about the use of Flock cameras by Cobb County police.

Police have already held two public town halls addressing privacy concerns surrounding the cameras, with attendees packing both meetings. The department currently leases just under 200 Flock cameras.

Cobb County Commission Chair Lisa Cupid said she supports the way the cameras have been used.

“I am confident in how we have utilized Flock in driving down our crime rates,” Cupid said.

Cupid also acknowledged concerns from residents about the technology.

“It is not unreasonable with all of the attention being brought to the misuse of Flock for our citizens to have questions, and for them to have concerns,” Cupid said.

The next town hall is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the West Cobb Senior Center in Powder Springs.

A fourth meeting will be held Sept. 15 at the North Cobb Senior Center in Acworth.
