GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County police are searching for suspects after a person was found shot to death at a townhome complex in Tucker.

Police say a resident returned home to find a guest dead inside a townhome along Lawrenceville Highway near Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Investigators have not released a motive or identified an official suspect in the shooting.

“The motive is still unknown. At this time there is no official suspect, but again given the details that they know at this time it is believed to be isolated,” Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Angela Carter said.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area as they work to identify possible suspects, including video from several nearby Ring cameras.

“And they are reviewing video footage, there are a lot of Ring cameras around this area, so they are actively looking at that right now,” Carter said.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and say there is currently no threat to the public.
