New multimillion dollar public safety building set to open in Norcross

Public Safety building Norcross

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Norcross Police Department is getting ready to move into its new multi-million dollar public safety building.

The 40,000 square ft. facility on Buford Highway includes a host of new features, including a municipal court. It will also include a real-time crime center.

According to Norcross Police Chief Bill Grogan, the current space at city hall is filled to capacity and this new building will allow employees more room to spread out.

“We’re beyond excited,” Grogan said. “The services we try to provide at a high level need a new space.”

Officials say staff will officially move in next week. Until then, officials add the public is encouraged to tour the new facility.
