WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s office has received an envelope containing white powder, joining dozens of congressional offices that have reported receiving similar mailings over the past week.
A spokesperson for the California Democrat said the letter was “consistent with mailings reported by other congressional offices” and confirmed that everyone in Pelosi’s office was safe.
More than three dozen members of Congress from both political parties have received envelopes containing white powder in the past week.
Election offices across the United States have also reported receiving similar envelopes.
The FBI, U.S. Capitol Police and U.S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating the mailings.
