JOHNS CREEK, GA — A murder suspect was arrested and faces multiple charges after a SWAT standoff at a metro Atlanta home on Friday.

Johns Creek Police assisted the Atlanta Police Department with a search warrant executed at a home in the 9100 block of Nesbitt Ferry Road in Johns Creek.

Authorities made contact with the suspect and took him into custody after several hours. There is no ongoing threat to the public, officials said.

The North Fulton and Forsyth County SWAT teams also assisted with the arrest, officials added.

Atlanta police say Xavier Bryant was arrested and charged with murder and armed robbery for an incident at the Mezzo Apartments on Peachtree Road in September.

The Atlanta Police Department is serving as the lead investigative agency.
