GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Loganville man accused of scamming a Connecticut business out of $50,000 faces multiple charges, according to police.

West Hartford police say 41-year-old Junior Astre posed as a fraud manager at a local bank as part of the scheme.

Investigators say the case began in 2025 after the business reported suspicious activity involving one of its bank accounts.

Police allege Astre used the false identity to gain access to company funds.

He faces multiple charges, including identity theft and money laundering.

Astre has been extradited to Connecticut, where he is being held on a $100,000 bond, officials add.
