BARROW COUNTY, GA — A metro Atlanta county is using its budget to help those in need of food.
Barrow County officials voted to use $30,000 out of the unassigned fund balance to support Meals on Wheels program, which provides food to mainly senior citizens who are home bound and unable to prepare their own food.
Meals on Wheels serves more than 200 people in Barrow County every day.
