SENOIA, GA — A Fayetteville man has been arrested in connection with the attempted sexual assault of a woman who was exercising in Senoia Sunday.

Police say the woman was near downtown Senoia late Sunday when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her. The woman was able to fight off her attacker.

Investigators identified 30-year-old Isaiah Phillips as a possible suspect within 24 hours after reviewing surveillance video from the area. Police say the video showed Phillips lurking near the scene before the attack.

Officers with the Senoia Police Department, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Coweta County Sheriff’s Office worked with U.S. Marshals and members of the U.S. Secret Service to arrest Phillips.

Phillips is facing charges including sexual battery and false imprisonment.
