DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A 25-year-old man is in custody following a SWAT situation involving a barricaded suspect at a home in DeKalb County.

Officers initially responded to an assault call in the 2000 block of Victoria Place.

The situation led to a SWAT response after a suspect barricaded himself inside the home.

SWAT officers eventually took the suspect, identified as Tavien Hartwell, into custody.

Hartwell faces several charges, including aggravated assault-strangulation, battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, theft by receiving and obstruction.
