Love triangle likely motive behind murder-suicide

Gwinnett County police say an apparent love triangle may have led to a murder-suicide Tuesday night in the parking lot of a Duluth office complex.

Police have identified the shooter as 44-year-old Sylvia Junn, an immigration attorney at the Junn Law Firm on Satellite Boulevard.

Cpl. Jake Smith tells WSB's Sandra Parrish that Junn shot both her husband, 45-year-old Charles Junn, and an unidentified 51-year-old woman in the parking lot outside the firm and then ran over the man with her car.

"The investigation revealed that the female victim and the male victim had an affair at some point in the past, this is likely related to that situation," he says.

Smith says Sylvia Junn then left the scene only to return minutes later where she shot herself in front of police.

Both of the Junns died at the scene and the other woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the couple leaves behind a 16-year-old son.
