COBB COUNTY, GA — A new lawsuit has been filed on behalf of about 2,900 Cobb County voters who have not received their requested absentee ballots.

According to officials, the lawsuit charges the voters are on the verge of being excluded from voting in the midterms.

Officials say the voters are asking a judge to order the county to overnight mail them new absentee ballots.

County leaders say voters are encouraged to contact their local office for assistance if the absentee ballot has not arrived.

The voter also has an option to vote in person.
