• DeKalb Co.: Crash...Miller Rd. at Covington Hwy.

Major Weekend Construction and Major Events: 

• All construction is weather-permitting and as the GA-DOT reports it, meaning times and locations are subject to change. Listen to News/Talk WSB for live updates all weekend and plan extra time to drive in these areas.
• Clayton/Fulton Co.: Paving...I-75/nb from Forest Pkwy. to Cleveland Ave. and I-75/85/nb/sb between Hwy. 166 and University Ave., in the three or four right lanes from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. At times, crews I-75/85/sb near Hwy. 166 will work in the left lanes and on the right lane of the ramp to I-85/sb. The I-75/nb ramps to and from Aviation Blvd./Central Ave./C.W. Grant Pkwy. (exit 239) and the University Ave. ramp to I-75/85/sb will be blocked during this time. Also blocked in this area will be the right lane of I-85/nb near Metropolitan Pkwy. Expect delays and use I-285 or Hwy. 19/41 as alternates. Expect traffic in the area to be further impacted by the Braves games Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon at Turner Field. There is also a bgi conference at the Georgia Dome that will put further pressure on I-75/85. DeKalb Co.: Paving...I-285/eb/wb (Inner and Outer Loop) between Chamblee Tucker Rd. and Ashford Dunwoody Rd., in the three left lanes in each direction from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. I-285/eb (Inner Loop) ramp to Buford Hwy. (exit 32) will also be blocked. Expect big delays in the area.
• DeKalb Co.: Paving...I-20/eb/wb at Columbia Dr. (just west of I-285), in the three left lanes in each direction from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Expect delays.  There will also be work on the I-285/sb (Outer Loop) ramp to I-20/eb, in the right lane from 9 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday.
• Fulton Co.: Bridge Work...GA-400/nb/sb between I-285 and Abernathy Rd., in the left lane in each direction from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Expect delays.
• Clayton Co.: Bridge Work...I-75/sb between Tara Blvd./Hwy. 19/41 and Mt. Zion Rd., in the two right lanes from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Expect delays.
• Atlanta: I-75/nb from Northside Dr. to Moores Mill Rd., in the right lane from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Expect delays.
• Douglas Co.: Bridge Work...I-20/wb at Hwy. 6/Thornton Rd., in the two left lanes from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Expect delays.

Ongoing Construction & Closures: 

• Atlanta: TV Show Filming...Hwy. 20 is blocked just east of Hwy. 19/41, in front of Atlanta Motor Speedway, until 4 p.m. Friday.
• Gwinnett Co.: Road-Widening, Improvment...Hwy. 20/wb lanes near Oak Grove Rd. are shifted into the median. Oak Grove Rd. is also blocked at Hwy. 20 and a detour is in place. The closure and lane shift will last until mid-August.
• Cobb Co.: Railroad Work in Marietta...East Dixie Ave. will be blocked 7/25 and 7/26 (Monday and Tuesday) and Waverly Way will be blocked 7/27 and 7/28 (Wednesday and Thursday). Detours will be in place.
• Forsyth Co.: Road Widening Project...Buford Dam Rd. is blocked from Marketplace Blvd. to Sanders Rd. until at least early July. Use Hwy. 20, Hwy. 369, or McGinnis Ferry Rd. as alternates.
• Alpharetta: Road Improvement Project...Douglas Rd. is blocked between Leeward Run Dr. and Oak Tree Hollow until further notice. South Lake Dr. and Leeward Run Dr. will also both be blocked at Douglas Rd. during the project.
• Cobb Co.: Paving...Powder Springs Rd./Hwy. 360 from Macland Rd. to Hwy. 5. Expect lane closures and delays during peak drive times until this project concludes at the end of July.
