ATLANTAQ — An investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead at the FCI Atlanta.

Officials say after 5:30 p.m., 36-year-old Ikaika Adams-Feeney was found unresponsive.

Officials say employees tried life-saving measures, but he died in the prison.

No other employees or inmates were injured.

Adams-Feeney had been in custody at FCI Atlanta since December 2025. He was serving a 12-year sentence.

Officials say Adams-Feeney was previously convicted of assault, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm.

The GBI has been notified of his death.
