HENRY COUNTY, GA — Police in Henry County are mourning the loss of one of their K-9 officers.
Police officials say Ronnie was a member of the Henry County Police Department for six years.
During his tenure with the department, Ronnie helped recover $2.5 million in drugs and assets. Ronnie also helped arrest 20 violent felony suspects.
Ronnie died of medical complications, according to officials.
“K9 Ronnie was a loyal partner and valued member of the HCPD family. Our thoughts are with Officer Pena and all who had the privilege of working alongside him,” Henry County Police said in a social media post. “Thank you for your service, Ronnie. Rest easy. We have the watch from here.”
