ATLANTA — A gun was confiscated at a metro Atlanta elementary school on Thursday.
Briar Hills Elementary School Principal Brandi Nichols says the student claims they didn’t know they had the gun.
After a staff member found it, the gun was taken without any other students seeing it.
In an email to parents, Nichols said all students remained safe and school operations were not interrupted.
Disciplinary action and consequences will be taken, officials said.
