ATLANTA — Georgia has broken another early voting record.

State officials say more than 2.3 million people have now voted in person ahead of the midterm election scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

That breaks the record set during the 2022 midterm election, according to state officials.

“Georgians continue to head to the polls in record numbers because they trust the system,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said. “This record-breaking in-person early voting turnout wouldn’t be possible without our county elections officials who work every day to ensure our elections are free, fair, and fast.”

There is one day remaining to vote early.

According to state officials, “in addition to in-person voting,108,251 absentee ballots have been accepted as of 1:35 PM Thursday.”

More than 30 percent of Georgia’s active registered voters have already cast ballots, state officials said.

However, voting by mail has declined from 2022.
