BARROW COUNTY, GA — Former Georgia State Representative Terry England is recovering after a farm accident this weekend.
He was injured in a heavy machinery accident on his farm in Barrow County. England was rushed to the hospital and underwent a successful surgery on his spinal cord.
England is currently the chief of staff for state House Speaker Jon Burns, who put out a statement of prayer and support.
“Terry underwent a successful procedure last night to repair a serious injury he sustained to his spinal cord. We know that the power of prayer is real, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who sent their prayers and support for Terry and Cindy. Please continue to lift him and his family up as he begins the long road to recovery.”
England served Georgia’s 108th and 11th districts from 2005 until 2023. He decided in 2022 not to seek re-election to another term.
