COBB COUNTY, GA — A 39-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his 2-year-old son in Cobb County.

Police were called to the Legacy West Cobb Apartments on Favor Road last week, where officers found the child unresponsive.

Officers provided aid to the boy before he was taken to Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said investigators later found evidence of neglect and arrested the child’s father, Lolo Anilus.

Anilus is charged with second-degree murder, cruelty to children and providing false statements.

He was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.
