ATLANTA — Attorneys for the father of the Apalachee High School shooter are asking a judge to grant him a new trial.

Colin Gray’s attorneys filed the motion after he was sentenced last week to 15 years in prison following his conviction on 27 charges.

The motion argues the verdict was contrary to the evidence presented during the trial.

Prosecutors accused Gray of giving his son access to the gun used in the shooting at Apalachee High School on Sept. 4, 2024.

Four people were killed and nine others were injured in the shooting.

His son, Colt Gray, later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
