ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta drivers can expect another full closure of a portion of the Westside Perimeter this weekend as work continues on the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Westside Perimeter Rebuild.

The closure will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and remain in place through 5 a.m. Monday.

All northbound lanes of I-285 will be closed between Cascade Road (Exit 7) and SR 166/Langford Parkway (Exit 5). All southbound lanes will be closed between SR 166/Langford Parkway (Exit 5) and Cascade Road (Exit 7).

Detour signs will direct northbound and southbound I-285 traffic approaching the closure to use SR 166/Langford Parkway, the I-75/I-85 Downtown Connector and I-20.

Weather permitting, the contractor has also tentatively planned another full closure for the weekend of Sept. 25-28.
