A new poll suggests Democrats could be gaining the lead in the battle for control of the Senate ahead of next month’s midterm elections.
The New York Times/Siena University poll shows Democrats pulling ahead in five Republican states. Georgia was not included in the poll.
A majority of those surveyed said their state economies are not in great shape.
The majority of voters also said they believe Democrats would do a better job handling health care, tariffs, data centers and the cost of living.
However, 52% of those surveyed said they believe the Democratic Party is too far left.
