ATLANTA — Construction is underway on a new one-mile section of the Atlanta Beltline’s Northwest Trail, expanding the trail network through several northwest Atlanta neighborhoods.
The new segment will stretch from Trabert Avenue near Monday Night Brewing to Tanyard Creek Park, where it will connect with the existing Northside Trail.
The project will include a pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive before the trail continues through the Atlanta Technology Center. City leaders say the crossing is designed to provide a safer and more accessible route for people walking and biking through northwest Atlanta.
The extension will help connect neighborhoods including Ardmore, Berkeley Park, Brookwood, Collier Hills and Loring Heights to the Beltline’s trail network.
Atlanta Beltline officials say they remain on track to complete the full 22-mile loop by 2030.
