Cartersville Police say an eight-year old boy was killed instantly when he got off one bus at the city school barn and was hit by another.

Captain Frank Cline tells WSB the boy's mother works at the bus barn -- he rode the school bus there to meet her. But as he walked around the front of that bus, he was hit by another.

Cline identifies the boy as Garrett Black. No charges are pending against the driver of the other bus -- and Cline says none are expected.
