ATLANTA — An Atlanta Police Department employee was killed in a motorcycle crash in southeast Atlanta Tuesday morning, according to police.
The crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Moreland Avenue and McDonough Boulevard.
Atlanta police say the motorcycle collided with another vehicle. The person riding the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital with a police escort.
Police later confirmed the motorcyclist died and was an employee of the Atlanta Police Department. The victim has not been identified.
There is no word on the condition of the driver of the other vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, this is a developing story.
