Apalachee High School shooter denied appeal by Georgia Supreme Court

Apalachee High School shooting suspect Colt Gray

BARROW COUNTY, GA — The Georgia Supreme Court will not consider an appeal from the teenager who killed four people in the 2024 shooting at Apalachee High School.

Colt Gray, 16, pleaded guilty to all 55 charges stemming from the shooting in Barrow County.

The court’s decision means Georgia’s highest court will not review potential challenges to Gray’s guilty plea or his sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Two students and two teachers were killed in the shooting, while nine others were injured.
