FORT STEWART, GA — Authorities are on the scene of an active shooter in a residential area of Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia.
Residents are being told to stay inside their homes and avoid the area.
There’s a shelter in place at Fort Stewart, which is one of the nation’s largest army bases. Five soldiers were shot at the base in August.
