SUWANEE, GA — Five adults were arrested and four juveniles were charged after a series of trespassing incidents at a private Suwanee home that police say some of those involved discovered through social media.
Gwinnett County police responded to four separate incidents at a home in the 3900 block of Westbrook Road.
Investigators say people entered the property without permission, including by climbing over fences or gates and going inside the residence. Several told officers they learned about the location through TikTok and went there to explore or take pictures.
Police arrested Vance Smith, Jackson White, Alexa Cruz, Arthur Silva and Nathan Nelson. Charges among the adults included criminal trespass, loitering and prowling, and giving a false name or date of birth to a law enforcement officer.
Seven juveniles were also involved. Police say four were charged with criminal trespass, while three received criminal trespass warnings.
Investigators also used surveillance footage to identify people who entered the property.
Police say the home is currently unoccupied but remains privately owned and is not open to the public.
Gwinnett County police are reminding people that social media posts describing a home, business or other property as abandoned do not give anyone permission to enter. Police say criminal trespass and related offenses can result in arrest and prosecution even when someone enters a property for exploration, entertainment or social media content.
