Edward Thornton, the third suspect charged in the fatal shooting of an armored car driver last month outside the Kroger in Toco Hills has surrendered to police.

Thornton, who was accompaniedby his attorney, turned himself in to the DeKalb County Police shortly before 11:00am Friday.  Police say they plan to transfer him to the county jail Friday afternoon.

Thornton is one of three suspects charged in the murder of Gary Castillo on March 15.  He has been charged with murder, aggrivated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ashley Henderson, 27, and Stacy Dooley, 34 are already being detained by police.
