WARNER ROBINS, GA — An investigation is underway after a fight in a bathroom led to a shooting at a high school in Middle Georgia on Wednesday.

According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, one student was injured and rushed to a local hospital after a shooting at Warner Robins High School.

The identity and condition of the victims was not released by officials.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office officials say the school is secure and the shooting remains under investigation.

Houston County Sheriff Matt Moulton released the following statement:

“Please avoid the area of Warner Robins High School on South Davis Drive at this time. There is a significant law enforcement presence due to a shooting on campus. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes to allow first responders to safely perform their duties.”

Officials say that classes at Warner Robins High School have been canceled for the remainder of the week.
