Georgia farmers come out in force to help feed the Cobb County community

There are seemingly few economic areas that have been as negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as the agricultural community. Milk is being dumped out by the thousands of gallons, vegetables are rotting by the wayside and the hard working, honest farmers that have put in so much work this year are seeing little reimbursement for their efforts.

Now, however, Georgia's dedicated agricultural community is coming together to help keep Cobb County fed. And, they are looking for your support.

On May 23, Georgia Grown To-Go will be hosting a drive-thru farmer's market. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can visit 1082 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta GA to drive through and purchase boxes full of seasonal produce. And, don't worry. Georgia Grown To-Go is preparing over 8,000 boxes for the event, so there will be more than plenty to choose from. Georgia farmers will be providing everything from fresh dairy products, vegetables straight from the farm, proteins and sweet Vidalia onions.

Visit georgiagrowntogo.com for details on how you can pick up some amazing food goods and support your local farming community in the process.
