Temperature roller coaster this week, but overall December starts off warmer than average

A cold front will bring chilly temperatures for the first days of December, but a warming trend is on the way.

Get set for a temperature roller coaster this week as daytime highs swell into the upper 60s to low 70s!

The average high temperature for Monday and Tuesday is 60 degrees, so the forecast highs are trending about 5 to 10 degrees above average for the first half of this week.

Warmer than average temperatures will continue into the first full week of December.

However, a cold front will arrive late Wednesday afternoon, ushering in an Arctic blast of air that will send temperatures tumbling into the low 30s by Thursday morning. Afternoon temperatures will be limited to the mid 50s for Thursday and Friday.

Below average temperatures will be short-lived, as a rebound takes place in time for the weekend. In fact, afternoon highs will return to the 60s this weekend, and they will warm as high as the low 70s by the beginning of next week.
