After days of beautiful weather—things are taking a turn.
Beginning Thursday, north Georgia will see showers and possible strong storms for at least the next few days.

Here is what you need to know:
- Showers will be mostly scattered
- Much of north Georgia is under a Level 1 risk for severe weather
- Heavy rain, strong damaging wind gusts possible
WSB Meteorologist Kirk Mellish sees lower temperatures in the medium range and below-normal temperatures in the longer range. “So far at least I do not see another freeze for the next 15 days, although that could change,” Mellish writes in his latest blog on WSBRadio.com.
“A frost is at least possible beyond the 20th but it’s too far out to know,” Mellish explains, adding, “The jet stream pattern becomes more active and changeable in the days and weeks ahead going from a W/SW flow to a W/NW flow aided by the return of a -NAO and a massive Greenland/East Canada “Rex Block” (upper high over upper low).”
