Looking at trends into early October

Not too far from average most of the time but some swings

The rest of this month of September into the start of next month looks to be much like we’ve seen all Spring and Summer, temperature values that do not go far above or far below normal for long stretches just warmer than normal and cooler than normal spells that come and go with alternating wet and dry spells.

The models suggest that will also be the pattern, on average, for the September-November period.

The tropics remain active through mid-September, then may take a quiet pause, before picking up again before the season ends.

THE TROPICS REMAIN ACTIVE THROUGH MID SEPTEMBER:

That allows the next 4 weeks plus to average out near-normal on temperatures with rainfall near-normal (drier than normal the next two weeks).
