It still does not look like constant rain Sunday but there will be showers and thunderstorms at times.
As you can see in the SPC outlook in the map above the Severe Weather Risk level for Metro Atlanta is 3/5.
Damaging strait-line winds are the primary risk in any severe storm that forms, but an isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
The system does not look as strong here as it will be today in states to our West.
The chance of rain Sunday starts by 8am, goes up after 10am give or take a couple hours, then the odds go down after 2pm give or take a couple hours, with the rain threat going away after 10pm.
When new data becomes available later the forecast will be adjusted as needed. The timing and threat level can still change.
As of now it looks like rainfall amounts Sunday will average a half to one-inch.
