WINDS INCREASING ALONG PORTIONS OF FLORIDA EAST COAST, NEW WATCHES AND WARNINGS ISSUED TO CHESAPEAKE BAY.

Thursday morning the eye of the storm is projected to be about 65 miles Southeast of Charleston, SC.

Typical model variation continues and will continue as Dorian moves slowly North for another day before it begins to accelerate its forward motion eventually curving Northeast off New England/Southeast Canada.

The threat to Florida and Georgia is very real but even more so for coastal North and South Carolina regardless of what “Category” the winds near the eye are now or later.

TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS to begin late Wednesday for the Georgia coast with 60 MPH wind gusts possible by predawn Thursday.

A landfall of the eye is possible as a Cat 2 somewhere from Cape Fear SC to Cape Lookout NC and the Outer Banks of NC by Thursday/Friday.
