Active tropics, again

Periodic spikes in activity well into October

The closest tropical troublemaker will be a threat to Texas/Louisiana Eastward, primarily as a heavy rain and flooding risk. Nicholas at worst could become a minimal hurricane but water and not wind would still be the biggest factor in the week ahead. Both the Gulf and East Coast will have to keep their guard up for the foreseeable future.

The “muggies” will be returning the next 5-10 days and the mid-level remnants of the Gulf system could pass over our region late this week into next weekend with minimal effect as it looks now anyway.
