Did you already forget all of Metro Atlanta was under a Tropical Storm Warning last season from what was Hurricane Zeta?

And it is certainly not the first time Atlanta has been impacted by tropical storm conditions over the past couple decades. So be prepared.

Most forecasters agree that we will have a more active than normal season but less than the hyper active record breaking level of last season (30 named systems). Most also agree that there is an above-normal risk for significant impact to the U.S. coastline again this year.

For over 3 months we have been predicting an above-average hurricane season.

We will have to watch for nearby development of tropical systems as early as this month.

The season runs through the end of November, but 90% of the strongest storms occur August-October.
