Weather permitting this weekend, the Georgia Department of Transportation will continue to improve highway infrastructure throughout metropolitan Atlanta.
As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue this weekend.
Major projects of interest that will likely impact traffic includes various resurfacing, bridge projects and the Transform 285/400 project in Fulton county.

Friday August 7, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Three left lanes on I-285 westbound from Peachtree Dunwoody Road to Glenridge Drive
Friday August 7, 10 p.m. through 5:30 a.m. on Monday August 10.
Post Rd Bridge over I-20 closed in Douglas Co, Detours are in place this weekend
Friday August 7, 9 p.m. through Sunday August 9, 9 a.m.: Sunday Weekend closures will be implemented
GDOT contractors are set to begin resurfacing of approximately 6.10 miles on GA-400 from its interchange with I-85 to south of Johnson Ferry Road including the Glenridge Connector ramps in Fulton County. Paving work will begin at Sidney Marcus Boulevard and head northbound towards Johnson Ferry Road. Changeable message boards will be in place to route traffic.

Overnight Lane, Ramp Closures on I-285 in Clayton County for Resurfacing Project
One left lane will be closed from the Old National Highway bridge to the Roosevelt Highway bridge;
This single left lane closure will convert to double left lane closures from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday, this overnight double closure will end at 5:00 a.m.
The ramp from Old National Highway to I-285 northbound will be closed to traffic on Saturday from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

One right lane will be closed on Langford Parkway/Hwy 166 from the I-285 southbound entrance ramp to the I-285 southbound exit ramp
The entrance ramp to I-285 southbound from Langford Parkway will be closed.
