Georgia tailback Kendall Milton limited by hamstring injury, RB room lacking depth

ATHENS — Georgia tailback Kendall Milton will be limited the remainder of spring drills on account of a hamstring injury.

Milton, an explosive 6-foot-1, 220-pound back, had the highest yards per carry on the team last season, averaging 7 yards each time the ball was handed off to him.

Milton’s spring injury brings the Bulldogs down to two healthy scholarship running backs in spring drills, as Daijun Edwards has also been limited, and redshirt freshman Andrew Paul is still not completely cleared after the knee injury he suffered last year.

Milton’s injury was of the non-contact variety, per a source close to the situation, and it is not expected to slow him down in the offseason or fall camp.

The extent of Edwards’ injury has not been publicly disclosed by Coach Kirby Smart, who is not scheduled to meet with the media until Saturday.
