A: Though the look is a little off-putting, that is likely a chrysalis for a moth of some kind. I’d put them back out and see what happens. But know how to tell invasive moths from harmless ones. Though some have yet to be reported in our area, learn more about destructive ones, such as the Spongy Moth, the Spotted Lanternfly and the Box Tree Moth.
