Young mother missing in Gwinnett

Gwinnett County Police are looking for a young mother who has not been seen since Saturday morning.  Corporal Jake Smith tells WSB 26-year-old Angela Rabotte was reported missing on Sunday.

"She dropped off her three-year-old daughter on Friday and attended a party in Atlanta, late into the night that Friday night.  The last time she was seen was Saturday morning at about 6 am, Steeplechase Apartments in Norcross," said Smith.

Smith says Rabotte has an acquaintance who lives at the apartment and was the last person to see her.  That person has been questioned by police.  At this point, foul play is not being ruled out.

"She's also reportedly active on social media and she has not been on social media at all, since the time that she was last seen," said Smith.

"Not in particular, but we're not ruling it out either.  It's certainly out of character according to her friends and family to not have contact with her daughter," said Smith.

Police searched the woods behind the apartment on Tuesday, but found nothing.  She does have a cell phone with her but police are not saying much about that.

"Her vehicle is accounted for, so that's not really a factor.  But we don't know if she might have maybe left that apartment complex in another vehicle, or something along those lines," said Smith.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.
