Victim in deadly Duluth home invasion identified

A man killed during a home invasion in Duluth Wednesday as been identified as 37-year-old Adam Michael Shrier.

Duluth Police Major Don Woodruff says two armed men entered the home on Summercrest Lane just after 6am.

“There was a struggle over the firearms and then there were shots fired and people were hit,” he tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish.

Police are releasing few details in the investigation other than they don’t believe it was a random crime.

Woodruff says a woman and 8-year-old girl inside the home were also shot but received non-life threatening injuries.

“It is an isolated incident; we don’t think there’s any cause for alarm for people who live over in that area,” says Woodruff.
