The incident was caught on the pilot’s GoPro.

He was able to set the plane down safely despite cars driving on the roadway, navigating the highway’s curve and avoiding powerlines.

CNN reported that the engine on Vincent Fraser’s plane began to fail.

Fraiser told WLOS that “the first thing like that went through my head was I don’t want to hurt anybody and I don’t want to kill anybody.”

Fraiser and his father-in-law were flying over the area to take a birds-eye-view of property Fraiser had recently bought near Fontana Lake, WLOS reported.

Three days later, Fraiser used the same highway to take off after a mechanic checked out the aircraft, CNN reported.

Fraiser earned his private pilot’s license in October and has just under 100 hours in the air, WLOS reported.
