Florida man wins $1 million on scratch-off ticket

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Florida man won $1 million from “The Fastest Road to $1,000,000” scratch-off ticket.

Rafael Rivera, 67, chose a lump sum payment of $790,000, according to Florida Lottery officials.

He bought the ticket from a Plant City convenience store. The store will get a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The scratch-off game was launched in February and each ticket costs $30. It has 155 top prizes of $1 million and more than $948 million in cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.79.
