Tolls set for new reversible express lanes on I-75

Drivers who use the new I-75 toll lanes will pay on a sliding scale between 10 and 90 cents per mile.

The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) sets the rates for the new south metro express lanes that are due to open late next month in Henry and Clayton counties.

The 12-mile stretch carries drivers between McDonough Road and Stockbridge Highway.  The lanes are reversible, taking drivers into Atlanta in the morning and home again in the evening.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the same dynamic pricing used on I-85 toll lanes in Gwinnett County will apply to the I-75 lanes.  Drivers pay more during the heaviest travel times.  The minimum charge is 50 cents.

Commuters must have a Peach Pass to access the lanes.  To get a pass, go to www.peachpass.com.
