Thousands of fake CDs, DVDs found in Gwinnett raid

Gwinnett County Police found thousands of fake DVD's and CD's after raiding two stores.

Corporal Ed Ritter tells WSB they searched the CD Warehouse on Pleasant Hill near Gwinnett Place Mall as well as the CD Warehouse near the Mall of Georgia.

"As they searched the locations, they found actually thousands of DVD's, Blu-Ray discs, CD's and so on that were all bootleg," said Ritter.

The CD's look legit, except for a tiny mark on one side of the discs.

Ritter says the suspect David Kirk, has been charged with unauthorized sales of recorded material.

“I believe he's gonna be facing more charges ultimately once this investigation is over with," said Ritter.

Police say Kirk was selling some new Blu-Ray and 3-D for as little as $5.00, which definitely is a red flag.

"I think he had a combination of both new and used out of there and a lot of them were bootleg I believe from China," said Ritter.
