ID theft at Cobb bank may have been inside job

A case of identity theft at a Chase bank branch in Cobb was likely an inside job.

Police have arrested and charged Tasha Goodson with 12 counts of felony forgery and one charge of computer fraud.

Goodson worked as the assistant manager of the bank branch on Barrett Parkway.

Chase officials noticed what was happening, flagged twelve suspect transactions and called authorities.

Investigators charge Goodson used her access to gather information about bank customers to forge U.S. Treasury checks and then cash them.

The checks ranged in value from $2,000 to $12,000.  Victims may not all be customers of the Barrett Pkwy. branch.

Goodson remains jailed on $150,000 bond.
